Dick and Jane primary readers were an integral part of learning to read back when I was a child in the 1950's.
Which of us Baby Boomers doesn't remember sitting in class reading from these first grade primers. Dick, Jane, Sally and Spot were from the 1950's readers.
"Oh Spot, see Spot run" brings a genuine smile to my face as I recall my learning to read.
